PROMETEO Project
Intelligent adaptive and collaborative construction through the hybridization of emerging technologies
The PROMETEO project (Adaptive and collaborative intelligent construction through the hybridization of emerging technologies), led by Vías y Construcciones S.A., proposes exhaustive research that seeks to transform the construction sector through the development of a new comprehensive process of intelligent and adaptive construction with new techniques that impact prefabrication, pouring and pumping as well as 3D printing for the geometries and customization processes of the construction process.
The project will allow the development of predictive modeling, as well as a new dynamic and real-time action process in poured concrete and printed mortar applications. The objective is to optimize efficiency, reduce the environmental footprint and improve the structural quality of future new constructions by investigating a new process based on the creation of advanced sensors, artificial intelligence models and intelligent formwork.
Project developed jointly by Vías y Construcciones S.A., CSSI and the UPC, and funded in the Call for Public-Private Collaboration 2024 of the State Research Agency and the European Union NextGenerationEU/PRTR.
